Life Hack: Easiest way to repair your hydraulic cylinder or pump
If you have a leaking ram (cylinder) or pump, the easiest way to repair it is to send some information on the tool to sales@winshawllc.com. Start with sending images of the tool or information such as make and model. We will go through the information you provide and let you know if we need any further details. Once we have identified what spare parts the repair will require we will send you an estimate for your approval. If you decide to go ahead with the repair, we will send you a link where you can purchase the parts and have them shipped to you. Once you receive them and you are ready to repair your tool, we will schedule a call or zoom meeting where we can walk you through the repair of the tool. We may also be able to send drawings and other information depending on the tool.
However if you find that the repair is more difficult than you thought, then you can box up the tool, along with the spare parts and we will send you a shipping label for its return. Once we receive it, we will evaluate it and let you know what the total cost for the repair will be. Once you approve the cost, we will send you a link for the repair and we will carry out the repair. We will then box it back up and return the tool back to you.
Please note that there are no warranties given on work, which is done outside of the Winshaw premises and not all tools can be repaired through this program. However, if you are looking to learn more about your tools and if you have multiple tools of the same type, then this is a great way to teach yourself about how to repair them.
